Bristol SU Sustainability Month & Zero Waste Fair
February was Sustainability Month, a range of events to raise awareness of green initiatives at Bristol.
The RAG, Volunteering & Sustainability Network and Green Curriculum Team organised a series of panel discussions themed around the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, looking at how they can interact to benefit citizens and our planet. The series ended with a Zero-Waste panel, building into Zero-Waste Week.
The Zero Waste Fair was a particular success. This event was held in the Carpenter Room at Bristol SU and provided opportunities to meet business, charities and causes that support the Zero Waste initiative. There was a great turn out and the Network organised lots of zero waste-related organisations for the stalls, including:
Foodcycle, Feedback, Junk Food Cafe, The Green Stationary Company, Bristol Waste, The University of Bristol Estates Sustainability, Feedback Gleaning, No More Taboo, Sustainability Jam, The Hungry Catepillar Food Co-op, CLIC Sargent, Happy Hollistics, Ingreens, FRANK Water, Children's Scrapstore, Zero Green, Harvest - part of the Essential Worker Co-operative ...and many more.
