The British Educational Research Association (BERA) announced on Monday 14th August that the winner of their Undergraduate Award is Maria Pulman, a student of the School of Education, University of Bristol.
The BERA Undergraduate Award, is designed to celebrate recent graduates who have excelled in their undergraduate studies related to educational research.
All works submitted were judged to evaluate their rationale, methodological riguor, conceptual or theoretical underpinning, presentation of findings, and potential implications for research and practice.
Currently pursuing her studies in Msc Education, Policy, and International Development, Maria's journey from years spent in the field of early years education to her academic pursuit has now culminated in this great recognition of her thesis “Stepping Outside of the System: The Experiences of Electively Home Educating Parents in Southwest England”.
The award comes with a prize of £250, alongside BERA membership for the upcoming year.
