Key statistics

In autumn 2020, the DEO started disseminating statistics on the use and support of various tools and practices, with a different focus for each month.

  • Student-facing support
    Students practiced digital skills and shaped their online learning.
  • Re/Play
    Re/Play use increased hugely, with 35K+ presentations - 1.5 years worth of content - created in the last year.
  • Blackboard templates
    Course templates improved student and staff experience of Blackboard in 2,200 courses in 2020-2021.
  • Bristol Futures Open Courses
    Celebrating 10 runs of the Bristol Futures Open Courses, completed 6K times in total.
  • Announcements, discussions and blogs in TB1 2020-2021
    Staff and students posted nearly 90K messages in discussion forums.
  • DEO support 2020
    In 2020 the DEO offered record amounts of support through our TOPdesk, guidance, courses, templates, drop-ins, website and webinars.
  • Summer assessment 2020
    Record numbers of online assessments, with 82K online assignments submitted.
  • Collaborate in October 2020
    Collaborate sessions lasted a total duration of 2.8 years.
