The University of Bristol and Jiangnan University in China have officially signed an agreement for joint education programmes and research student and staff exchange.

The agreement was signed by Liang-Fong Wong, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor for Internationalisation, on behalf of the University of Bristol when a delegation led by Professor Zhengbiao Gu, the Vice President of Jiangnan University, visited Bristol on June 10.

Following the signing ceremony, the delegation discussed the plans to promote the innovative 3.5+0.5+1 accelerated Bristol Masters programme to Jiangnan students and expand the partnership with International Office colleagues and the School of Chemistry.

This was followed by a tea reception hosted in the School of Chemistry where the Vice President and the delegation met with a number of Bristol Chemistry colleagues and prospective supervisors for the Accelerated Masters programme, and some 50 PhD students and postdoctoral research associates interested in a potential future career at Jiangnan University.
