The students graduating this week have each completed a unique year-long environmental research project which makes a new contribution to knowledge in their field. We look forward to their future successes, many are going directly into industry roles while a third of the cohort are building on their master's in research by going on to funded PhDs.
What is particularly special about this cohort is that there is a real mix of students, mature, part-time, some working in industry roles alongside their research. All have worked incredibly hard to complete their research.
Associate Professor Helen Thomas-Hughes, Director of Education at the Cabot Institute for the Environment said "We are so proud of the achievements of our master’s by research students, each of whom have delivered exceptional research within their disciplinary field. It has been Cabot's absolute pleasure to have been part of this part of their research careers and we look forward to celebrating the many successes that will come in the future."
The Cabot Masters is a unique course where you work on a unique independent research project supported by expert supervisors. You can apply to an existing project brief or suggest your own idea and are supported by a training programme designed to enhance your research skills, climate communication, and to develop an interdisciplinary approach to the most complex environmental challenges of today.
