Anatomy of the Pelvis and Lower Limb for Sport
Anatomy of the Pelvis & Lower Limb for Sport will provide a half-day overview of key structures of the pelvis & lower limb in the context of sports performance and sports related injury. The course is aimed at professionals and clinicians with an interest in human performance, practitioners working in musculoskeletal (MSK) themed roles and those engaged in postgraduate study and research in MSK science. It will offer attendees the opportunity to extend their knowledge of anatomy relevant to sports participation and common injuries, using authentic human material to support learning and relate course content to practice.
Using expertly dissected human donor tissue, participants will be guided to:
- Identify key myofascial, musculoskeletal and neurovascular structures
- Appreciate structural and functional relationships in 3D
- Relate the anatomy presented to their pre-existing anatomy knowledge and translate it to their scope of practice
The course will begin at 10:00, so please arrive for 09:45 for a prompt start.
