Somehow the weather is always stunning whenever we're in this part of Somerset, which is fortunate considering the reserve is a capped area of a landfill site (which is still active, hence the hi-vis vests).
Our task was the construction of a bird viewing screen in front of a newly created wetland, using willow grown on the reserve. Although we didn't manage to finish it, the progress was rewarding and we got fed by warden Julia!
