Woodland management at Ravensroost Wood, Wilts
21 October 2001
Our task was to coppice along the edge of a ride. The minibus
was full of people who couldn't recognise a fork in the road. Rosie of
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust spent the day torn between enthusiasm and horror.
Sue almost removed her own hand with her folding saw. James and Alistair
finished lunch early to fell a large tree. We packed out the Horse and
Groom afterwards.
A typical Sunday trip really.
Don't worry folks, it's all under control... |
Like a plague of locusts, BUCG volunteers lay into the woodland! |

What a lovely group photo. |
