Marram grass planting at Berrow Dunes, Somerset
12 March 2000
Yet again we managed a trip to the seaside without ripping
up and burning the vicious sea buckthorn covering the dunes! Instead
we were digging up marram grass from well-covered areas and
transplanting it to newly cleared areas. It was so sunny that there
was even a Sunday afternoon ice-cream in addition to the obligatory
pint....
Our happy bunch of conservationers planting what appears to be
hay, in the sand.
A traditional extended lunch break!
