BCFN student to exhibit at STEM for Britain

1 March 2018

BCFN student Kate Oliver will be exhibiting her work to MPs and other scientists in the House of Commons in March as part of STEM for Britain.

The programme, which aims to "encourage, support and promote Britain's early-stage and early-career research scientists, engineers, technologists and mathematicians", will see Kate and around 200 other early-career researchers exhibiting posters and explaining their research to MPs and judges, with those judged best in each category receiving awards.

Kate, who is supervised by Dr. Annela Seddon and Prof. Steve Eichhorn, will be exhibiting her work on shape-changing gels for 3D printing applications. This invitation continues a strong track record by the School of Physics, as the 2016 Physics Gold Medal was won by CQP student Euan Allen.

We wish Kate all the best for this exciting event and look forward to hearing about her time there.
