Dr Helen Heath gave the last ice cream lecture of the academic year to pupils from Bristol Free School.

In 2013/14 more than 500 students from school years 6 to 11 have been entertained and educated by physicists, on visits arranged through the University of Bristol's outreach programme.

The popular ice cream lectures were given by Helen Heath and a group of undergraduate students who have taken the first year Communicating Science unit.

Physics lectures and workshops for Schools and colleges are offered by Dr Heath and the School of Physics outreach team.
