Subject activities

Learn about studying your course at Bristol with our subject talks and activities.

Subject talks

Subject talks offer a thorough introduction to the courses we offer at Bristol, including information about our facilities, teaching, course details and assessment methods.

Subject talks are booked in advance when you book onto the open day. These talks are popular and fill up fast, so please ensure that all details are correct at the time of booking as amending your itinerary may not be possible later.

If your chosen talk is fully booked, go to the information point for your subject where you can talk to academic staff and current students and register for a tour if available.

For booked talks, please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before the published start time in order to guarantee entry. After this, all remaining seats will be offered to non-booked guests. Subject talks last 30 minutes unless stated otherwise.

Subject activities

Subject activities will vary, from tours and hands-on experiences to question and answer sessions with current students. Some subject activities are bookable in advance, and some are only available to sign up for on the day.

Subject information points

Each subject will have an information point. This is a place to talk to academic staff and current students to learn more about your subject of interest.

Programme of events

*Asterisks mark which talks and activities must be booked in advance via the booking form. All other activities are available to sign up for on the day at the locations listed from 9:30 am to 4 pm.
