Accessibility
We are committed to providing an open day experience that is accessible to all.
If you require any additional accessibility support on the day that you haven't mentioned on your booking form, please email visit-us@bristol.ac.uk or call us on +44 (0)117 394 1649.
For existing and new bookings, please give us as much notice as possible. We can't guarantee we will be able to make any arrangements after 6 June.
Parking
If you have told us on your booking form that you or your guest have restricted mobility, we will contact you to arrange a parking permit. You will need this permit to access these parking spaces.
Our main on-street accessible parking area is on Priory Road, which is available all day for all permit holders. We also have limited short stay accessible parking at the rear of the Richmond Building and at Hiatt Baker Hall available on a first come, first served basis for Blue Badge holders.
Getting around campus
We are a city campus and our buildings are spread across the city. There are also some steep hills which are indicated on the open day map.
Walking between most buildings at our Clifton campus takes less than 10 minutes. The open day exhibition in the Richmond Building is a 15 minute walk from the campus. Please leave 30-40 minutes if walking to the Dental School from Clifton campus or take a free shuttle bus to Bristol Temple Meads train station which is a 10 minute walk away.
Please speak to a steward in a red t-shirt if you need assistance getting around our campus. For example, we can suggest a step-free route or provide a taxi for you to travel longer distances if this is helpful.
Visiting our accommodation
An accessible room will be available to view in Hiatt Baker Hall. Free open day shuttle buses will be running all day from campus to Stoke Bishop between 9:30 am and 3 pm.
For walking times to residences in Clifton and the city centre visit our plan your day page. Please note these drop-in tours are not accessible.
On the day activities
The University's Disability Services and Student Accommodation team will be exhibiting as part of the open day exhibition in the Richmond Building. Staff will be available to answer your questions and provide information about the support available for students at Bristol.

We have teamed up with AccessAble to provide detailed information about the accessibility of our facilities.

Taking a break
Open days can be very busy and we know that this atmosphere can be challenging for some of our visitors. There will be designated quiet spaces across campus on the day where you will have the opportunity to take a break from the crowds and excitement.
Quiet spaces will be available in Beacon House, Arts Complex, Fry Building, Priory Road Complex and Wills Memorial Building. Please speak to a steward on the day if you wish to access a quiet room.
If you would prefer to attend activities such as your subject information point or the student services exhibition at quieter periods, these areas are normally calmer in the afternoon.
