What to expect at your Physics offer holder event
Once you have received an offer to study at the University, you will receive your email invitation to attend an offer holder event.
We have planned the day to provide you with a taste of studying your subject at Bristol as well as insights into making the most of student life here.
This event is for offer holders for the following courses:
- Physics (BSc)
- Physics (MSci)
- Physics with Astrophysics (BSc)
- Physics with Astrophysics (MSci)
- Physics with Industrial Experience (MSci)
- Physics with International Experience (MSci)
- Physics with Study Abroad in a Modern Language (MSci)

Wednesday 28 February
Registration
Time: 12:45 - 1 pm
A warm welcome to the School of Physics, where you will be greeted by our academic staff and student ambassadors with the information you need for your day.
Welcome talk
Time: 1 - 1:20 pm
An introduction to Physics at the University of Bristol from our team, where we talk about what to expect from teaching, learning and your student experience at Bristol.
Example lecture
Time: 1:20 - 1:50 pm
Join our academics in a taster lecture where you can engage with some of the learning materials taught on the course. During this session, parents, carers and guests will have a tour of the Physics building.
Tour
Time: 1:50 - 2:35 pm
Tour the facilities of the Physics building with some of our staff and students. During this session, parents, carers and guests will attend a networking session.
Networking
Time: 2:35 am - 3:05 pm
A chance to chat informally with our staff, current students and other offer holders. During this session, parents, carers and guests will attend a Q&A with the Admissions Tutor.
Research talk
Time: 3:05 - 3:30 pm
Hear a talk from one of our academics. During this session, parents, carers and guests have free time to explore the campus.
Student-led session
Time: 3:30 - 4 pm
Hear a talk from our current students. During this session, parents, carers and guests have free time to explore the campus.
