Receiving your offer

The University makes two types of offer:

  • Unconditional offer: you are guaranteed entry.
  • Conditional offer: your entry to the University depends on achieving the grades specified in your offer.

We make conditional offers if you're currently studying and haven't yet got the qualifications needed for your course. These qualifications could be in academic subjects or English language qualifications, or both.

We make unconditional offers if you already have the qualifications needed for your course and you meet all other entry requirements.

Please read the terms of your offer carefully. If there is anything you don't understand, or the offer doesn't match the qualifications you're currently taking, contact our Enquiries team with your UCAS Personal ID.

You may be invited to an offer holders' visit day, which is a fantastic opportunity to find out more about your course and student life.

How we make offers

UCAS applications

We'll send you an email once we have made you an offer. Your official offer details are published on UCAS Track.

Once you have received decisions from all of your university choices, you can reply to your offers using UCAS Track. The UCAS website tells you how and when to respond to your offers.

Accepting an offer

If Bristol is your firm choice and you meet the terms of your offer, you'll be guaranteed a place to study here.

If Bristol is your insurance choice and you are unsuccessful with your firm choice institution if you meet the terms of our offer, you'll be guaranteed a place to study here. Your place will be confirmed on UCAS Track.
