Scholarships worth £5,000 each for 3 talented UK postgraduate students from black backgrounds.

Eligibility

The below criteria applied to the 2024 cycle:

1. Applied to study a full-time master's programme (MA, MSc or MRes only) at the University of Bristol that starts in autumn 2024.
2. Are from a group that is underrepresented in Bristol's postgraduate community according to our widening participation criteria.
3. Are eligible for home tuition fees.

Eligible applicants will also have one of the following categories of ethnicity:

• Black or Black British: African
• Black or Black British: Caribbean
• Mixed: White and Black Caribbean
• Mixed: White and Black African
• Other Black background.

How to apply

Complete the Black Bristol Scholarship programme online application form.

This form is for applications to the Bristol Master's and Bristol Black Master's Scholarships.

The highest-ranked applicants from a Black background will be awarded a Bristol Black Master's Scholarship. The remaining students are considered for a Bristol Master's Scholarship.

You only need to complete one application to be considered for both scholarships.

Bristol Black Master's Scholarship applications for entry in 2024 close at 12 midday on 31 May 2024.
