How to register

For most students, to be fully registered you must:

• confirm your registration details
• set up multi-factor authentication
• upload your photo
• complete a student document check if you are subject to immigration control
• collect and activate your University ID card (UCard)
• download the University of Bristol app.

If you are studying an online or distance-learning course

• Confirm your registration details
• Set up multi-factor authentication
• Upload your photo
• Complete the ‘start your studies’ form

If you are on a professional course

Some professional courses require you to also complete occupational health and/or Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. Your faculty will contact you if you need to do this.

Deadlines to register

You will receive an email with information about registration, including the deadline and other tasks you need to complete before you begin your studies.

Latest dates to complete registration

Refer to your registration email for your latest registration date.

If you do not complete registration by the date that applies, your student record and any relevant visa sponsorship will be withdrawn.
