What is the Bristol Run Series?
The Bristol Run Series is a mix of virtual and in-person running events, so you can take part no matter where you are! Whether you're a seasoned marathon runner or just starting out, there's a pathway that’s ready for you. Sign up to take part and join the #WeAreBristol community.
Back for another year, the series will include three pathways, each containing four events to be completed. In-person and virtual events will start in November 2024 running until October 2025.
Registration for the Bristol Run Series is open
Sign up selecting the pathway or individual event(s) you would like to take part in. Any in-person events you would like to attend will require further registration through the event schedule page.
How to take part
- Choose a pathway that best suits your level of experience and sign up
- You can complete your pathway distances either:
- virtually within the virtual event window
- in-person at one of our series events
- or a mix of both
- After you have completed your distance, upload your confirmation to your Bristol Run Series portal to show that you've finished
- Once you've completed the four events in your pathway, you'll receive your free Bristol Run Series finisher's medal!
Your Bristol Run Series Portal
New to the series this year, you will be able to upload your proof of your completed distance, amend your pathway or your chosen events through your individual portal. Before you can log in, you will be sent a verification code to the email address you used to sign up to the series. The email will come from 'miniExtensions'.

The event schedule is now live. Look at the events in your chosen pathway and make sure to add the dates to your diary.
Healthy Minds
We're proud to support and promote the Healthy Minds programme, that supports students who face mental health difficulties.
The programme takes positive steps to improve the way students feel through a varied and socially engaging programme of physical activity. Students are referred by either the Student Counselling Service or the Mental Health Advisory Service, where they then work with an activity mentor to develop new skills, interests, and to find ways to help them feel better and stay well into the future.
The programme is free for students thanks to the generosity of Bristol’s donor community. We've now supported over 500 students in improving their wellbeing, with a 100% improvement rate.

Sports Medicine Clinic
The Sports Medicine Clinic now offers a runners' massage service, alongside regular physiotherapy and osteopathy services.
