Join us online to celebrate the launch of The British General Election of 2019 (published by Palgrave Macmillan) with Paula Surridge, Senior Lecturer in SPAIS. Co-authored by Paula along with Robert Ford, Tim Bale and Will Jennings, the book is the 21st volume in a prestigious series dating back to 1945, and offers the definitive account of one of the most consequential and controversial general elections in recent times: when Boris Johnson gambled everything calling an early election to 'Get Brexit Done', and emerged triumphant. This online event will provide an overview of the book’s analysis of this landmark election and its implications for British politics, with time for questions and discussion to follow.
