QET Labs collaborate with the Future Brunels

17 November 2021

QET Labs engagement team visit the SS Great Britain for a morning of demos and activities with the Future Brunels

On 17 November, QET Labs Research Administrators Holly Caskie and Bhavana Sharma, along with PhD students Elliott Hastings, Jaya Sagar and Peide Zhang headed to the SS Great Britain to work with the Future Brunels, a programme aiming to inspire and enthuse young people with STEM during their time at secondary school.

After giving a talk about the history of light and its applications, the students were walked through a number of our optical demos, where they solved our giant optical jigsaw, explored some of our photonic chips under the microscope, and programmed a quantum computer with our PiQuantum qubit game.

Thank you to Elliott, Jaya and Peide for all of your hard work towards the development and facilitation of the session.
