Do you have type 2 diabetes? Can you help us with our study?

5 July 2017

If you have type 2 diabetes, have you ever used an online app or worn a Fitbit to help you to look after your health? We would like to hear about your experience.

There are lots of websites and apps that try to help people with illnesses like type 2 diabetes look after themselves. Many are new and we want to know more about how they work. Research has found that some websites do help people with type 2 diabetes. We don’t know if these sites work the same for all people or only work well for people from a particular group (e.g. younger people).

We would like to talk to people with type 2 diabetes who have used websites or apps to help them look after themselves. We will ask how people use them and what they think of them. We want to speak to people from different backgrounds (e.g. younger and older, different cultures) so we can compare different people’s views. We want to find out how to make sure that everyone can benefit equally from these websites and apps.

The study involves a one hour interview and you will be given a £10 high street voucher as a thank you for your time. We're interested in speaking to people from all over the country, so the interviews can be done in person or over the phone. It's up to you!
