This research theme aims to facilitate discussion and collaboration in relation to the practical and methodological challenges of conducting economic evaluations alongside trials, and to share good practice. By trials, we mean health and social care studies involving individual patient primary data. These might include randomised controlled trials (RCTs), cohort studies or other observational study designs. We are particularly interested in improving methodology relating to resource-use data collection, and standardisation of economic evaluation methods.
