We are thrilled to announce that two films featuring compositions by our PhD student Hadi Rahmani have been selected for the Persian Film Festival 2025, taking place simultaneously in Toronto and London on March 22nd and 23rd. The festival is a major international platform celebrating Persian cinema, bringing together filmmakers, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts for screenings, discussions, and networking. Persian Film Awards 2025 - London | SOAS

One of the films, Airless, delves into Sartre’s existentialist philosophy, exploring the human struggle with choice and fear. The other, The Other Side of The Bridge, a short documentary, takes a human-centric approach to history, aiming to foster understanding and empathy across nations. The soundtrack for this documentary was composed while Hadi was undertaking his MA in Composition of Music for Film and TV at the University of Bristol.
