Congratulations to undergraduate music student Gabriel Starkey, whose essay "Jazz Freedom= Black Freedom!! - Free Jazz, Civil Rights and the Cold War" (for Dr. Williams' African American Music module) won the "Undergraduate Essay for Scholars of Colour" award from the British Association of American Studies (BAAS).
