We place a strong emphasis on high-value research with publishable outputs, aiming to achieve publications from mini-projects in year 1 in addition to the main PhD project. Our students publish in a wide range of different journals (now averaging >20 papers per year) and attend a number of international conferences. We also place a high value on effective public engagement, with our students attending a number of events to help inspire the next generation of scientists.
