The Law School has one of the most diverse ranges of specialised LLM programmes available in the UK. We also offer MA, MSc, and MRes programmes as taught postgraduate degrees.
A one-year taught Masters degree in law, suitable for Law and non-Law graduates (programme dependent). LLM programmes are available to students who have not had prior training in English common law, but it may be recommended that you take a Foundation Unit.
LLM Law - Commercial Law
This intensive study programme enables you to engage in commercial and industrial topics, with the opportunity to concentrate on European commercial issues, international trade or aspects of domestic commerce. view the course structure

In this programme you’ll engage in specialist international and commercial topics. International units can be chosen from topics within the field of private international law, and commercial units include an international element. view the course structure

This programme considers the law and regulation of banking and finance, with the opportunity to examine wide-ranging questions concerning the impact of law, regulation, policy and practice. view the course structure
LLM Law - Company Law & Corporate Governance
This programme provides an in-depth understanding of company law and corporate governance. It examines various issues that focus on the legal, regulatory, policy and practice responses to corporations’ actions. view the course structure
LLM Law - General Legal Studies
This programme enables you to specialise in a particular area, or, opt for a broader, more general set of units. You’ll consider relevant issues theoretically and practically from various perspectives. view the course structure
LLM Labour Law and Corporate Governance
This programme offers a range of units for students planning to specialise in employment and company law. It examines labour law and corporate governance from an economic and socio-political perspective. view the course structure
LLM Law - Human Rights Law
This programme offers various units suitable both for those with some previous knowledge of human rights law and for those seeking an introduction to specific human rights law issues. view the course structure
LLM Law and Globalisation
This programme examines the international legal framework, trade, employment and human rights, from both a practical and a theoretical standpoint, exploring these issues from both an economic and socio-political perspective. view the course structure

MSc Socio-Legal Studies
A one-year, disciplinary Masters degree into the study of law and legal phenomena, suitable for graduates from a wide range of disciplines (including the Arts, Social Sciences and Law) who have an interest in the way law works in society. MRes Sustainable Futures
A one-year, multidisciplinary Masters degree into sustainability research for the maintenance of human well-being in spite of rising populations, limited natural resources and a fragile environment. The programme is suitable for graduates in a relevant social sciences or law discipline.
