Student success in National Client Interviewing Competition

Press release issued: 12 February 2018

The University of Bristol Law School, represented by second year LLB students Annie McLean and Olivia Williams, have won a place in the finals of the National Client Interviewing Competition (to take place 10 March 2018).

Their performance in the regional heats was all the more impressive given that they were predominantly competing against teams either studying on the LPC or who have taken a Client Interviewing unit as part of their course.

The Client Interviewing Competition is intended to give students an understanding as to to how to deal with clients, in terms of personal interaction, extracting information, giving legal advice, and achieving the elusive 'friendly but professional' balance. This is the first year that Bristol has entered, but Catey Thomas will be entering a team again next year and she will be in touch with second year students in September 2018.
