Law Clinic invites applications for a range of paid summer internships

Press release issued: 1 March 2018

The University of Bristol Law Clinic provides our students with the chance to offer free legal advice and support to members of the public, under the supervision of Law School staff. As the Clinic has grown over recent years, the services they offer are a vital resource to the local community and organisations.

The Law Clinic is pleased to announce that there are five paid internships to cover case work over the Spring and Summer period in 2018.

The first internship is open only to those who are not currently studying (i.e. ex-Law Clinic members that are recent graduates and post-graduates). This will cover the period from 16 April - 8 June (8 weeks), for 20 hours a week with a total of 160 hours.

The second lot of internships (open to all Law Clinic members) is to cover the period after exams finish. There will be four vacancies; two to cover the periods from 11 June - 27 July (7 weeks) and two to cover 27 July - 14 September (7 weeks), all totalling 20 hours per week. Each of these internships will be a total of 140 hours.

During an internship, you would typically be expected to look after new and existing cases during your period of cover as well as cover any drop-in sessions relating to the Clinic's outreach work.

If you are interested in applying for one of these opportunities, please see the email that has been sent to you individually from the Law Clinic.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are not a member, or ex-member of the Law Clinic, unfortunately you cannot apply.

The Clinic is anticipating a two-stage process for the selection of interns this year - more details on this will follow.
