European Parliament’s International Trade Committee: Trade Policy Day

22 November 2017, Dr Clair Gammage was invited by the European Parliament’s International Trade Committee (INTA) to speak as one of 10 panellists at a hearing as part of the Trade Policy Day. Clair spoke about the EU’s Trade For All strategy alongside prestigious speakers including the EU Commissioner for Trade, Cecilia Malmstrom, and the Deputy Director-General for the World Trade Organisation, Alan Wolff.

Continuing Application o‌f EU Trade Agreements after Brexit

6 December 2017, Dr Clair Gammage was invited to appear before the International trade Committee at Parliament to give expert advice, as part of a panel of witnesses on the inquiry "Continuing Application of EU Trade Agreements after Brexit".

25-26 January 2018: Dr Albert Sanchez-Graells has been invited to speak on 'Issues and Regulatory Approaches in relation to Public Procurement' at a workshop on crucial questions and challenges with respect to the Brexit negotiations, organised by the Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation (MaCCI).

• Euroscepticism and the unfolding of Brexit

20 February 2018: Professor Catherine De Vries (University of Essex) will present her research on the evolution of Euroscepticism, followed by a roundtable discussion with academics from the University of Bristol, including Dr Albert Sanchez-Graells and Professor Phil Syrpis. This interactive event will explore claims of shifting public opinion, the potential viability of a second referendum, as well as the implications of Brexit and Euroscepticism for the future of the EU.
