Dr Eirik Bjorge gives speech at European Court of Human Rights in honour of outgoing Judge Mahoney

On 9 September 2016 Dr Eirik Bjorge spoke in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg in honour of the out-going British judge in the Court, Judge Mahoney.

On 9 September 2016 Dr Eirik Bjorge spoke at a closed judicial seminar in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg in honour of the out-going British judge in the Court, Judge Mahoney. Eirik spoke on the topic of the so-called 'living instrument' approach to the interpretation of the European Convention on Human Rights, on a panel chaired by Eleanor Sharpston, the British Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union. Other speakers included current President of the European Court of Human Rights, Guido Raimondi, and former President Luzius Wildhaber.
