Msc Student Natalie Kyneswood Awarded Lechmere Essay Prize

22 October 2015

The School would like to congratulate Msc student Natalie Kyneswood on being awarded the Middle Temple Lechmere Essay Prize.

Her winning essay is titled ‘Why has the Human Rights Act 1998 become so politically unpopular that the Government may seek to have it repealed? What if anything could ensure that a British Bill of Rights commended any greater respect than the HRA?’, analyses the legal implications of the Government's proposed British Bill of Rights and Responsibilities and the supranational nature of human rights.

The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple is one of the four Inns of Court which have the exclusive right to Call students to Bar. They are a professional society with membership spanning all over the world, but education and training are at the heart of the Inn, providing around £1 million annually in support of students and other junior members.

Once again, the School is delighted to announce Natalie’s achievement, and wishes her well for her promising legal career.
