Konstantinos Sergakis wins a YDUN grant to explore shareholder duties

Dr. Konstantinos Sergakis is participating in a Research Project which has won a YDUN grant from the Danish Council for Independent Research of ​458,​832.80​£ (​​4,328,153 DKK​). The project is managed by Dr. Hanne Birkmose, Associate Professor at the University of Aarhus, Denmark and will run from January 2015 until December 2017.

Dr. Konstantinos Sergakis is participating in a Research Project which has won a YDUN grant from the Danish Council for Independent Research of  458, 832.80 £  ( 4,328,153 DKK ). The project is managed by Dr. Hanne Birkmose,   Associate Professor at the University of Aarhus, Denmark and will run from   January 2015 until December 2017. 

The project aims to explore shareholder duties as well as the feasibility of accountability methods for shareholders who invest in listed companies in particular. 

The plan is to assemble a group of European researchers, who will be set the task of analysing and determining which duties we can and should impose on the shareholders, the possible implications of doing so and how we may enforce the rules and penalise any infringement.

Dr. Konstantinos Sergakis will participate in various conferences, workshops as well as an edited collection on shareholder duties and will pay regular visits to the University of Aarhus during the above-mentioned period.
