The Human Rights Implementation Centre continues its support to the the process of adoption legislation on the National Preventive Mechanism in the Kyrgyz Republic. In November 2011 the Centre reviewed the Law on Ombudsman (Akyikatchy) of the Kyrgyz Republic in the light of the Optional Protocol to the United Nations Convention against Torture and Draft Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On the National Centre of the Kyrgyz Republic on prevention of torture and other inhuman, degrading treatment or punishment'.
