The Law School invites applications to a number of permanent lectureships in law. A post may be offered at Senior Lecturer or Reader level to suitably qualified candidates.

The Law School invites applications to a number of permanent lectureships in law. A post may be offered at Senior Lecturer or Reader level to suitably qualified candidates. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in research and teaching in one or more of the following areas: Contract, Company Law, EU Law, and Public Law.

Closing date for applications: 3 December 2012.

The successful candidates will have a record of publication or well-developed plans for publication, and clear potential to achieve international excellence in research. They will be expected to develop further an established research profile through publication, bidding for external research funding, and presentations at national and international conferences in order to play an active role in maintaining and enhancing the research profile of the Law School.

The University of Bristol Law School has an international reputation for high quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. With 1000 students, of whom 200 are postgraduate, excellent teaching and research facilities, strong links with the legal profession and civic groups, the School plays a full role in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law.
