God, Justice and Society: Aspects of Law and Legality (Oxford University Press, 2011) will take place on 19-20 March 2012 at the Divinity Faculty, University of Cambridge. The event is co-sponsored by KLICE (Kirby Laing Institute for Christian Ethics) and the University of Cambridge Inter-faith Programme. Dr. Burnside is Reader in Biblical Law at the University of Bristol. The event is inter-disciplinary - and of particular interest to lawyers and theologians - and inter-faith. Confirmed plenary speakers include Professor Bernard Jackson (Liverpool Hope University, formerly University of Manchester), Professor Gordon McConville (University of Gloucester) and Sheikh Michael Mumisa (University of Cambridge). Dr. Jonathan Burnside and Professor Nicholas Aroney (Faculty of Law, University of Queensland) will respond to the plenary speakers. Six other experts will present panel papers. Papers from the conference will be published in a special edition of the journal
Political Theology.
