Keith Stanton elected President of the Society of Legal Scholars 2011/12

Professor Keith Stanton has been elected to the position of President of the Society of Legal Scholars for the year 2011/12. The Society has a membership of over 2700 academic lawyers and researchers in the UK and elsewhere.

Professor Keith Stanton has been elected to the position of President of the Society of Legal Scholars for the year 2011/12.  The Society has a membership of over 2700 academic lawyers and researchers in the UK and elsewhere.  Keith will be the third Bristol professor to hold the post of President of the SLS (formerly the Society of Public Teachers of Law) following Professor Archie Coutts in 1966/7 and Professor Philip Pettit in 1982/3.

As a result of Keith's election, the Society's annual conference will be held in Bristol in September 2012.
