On Wednesday 15th December 2021 the Centre for Law at Work will welcome Brishen Rogers, Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, to present a book presentation on 'Presentation on Data and Democracy at Work (MIT Press, forthcoming) (PDF, 245kB)', as part of the University of Bristol Centre for Law at Work Speaker Series.

Brishen Rogers is a Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center. His research focuses on labor/employment law, with particular interests in low wage work and the impact of data-driven technology on employment practices. He is currently writing a book for MIT Press entitled Data and Democracy at Work, on the law and political economy of new workplace technologies.  

Dr Jamie Woodcock, Senior Lecturer at the Open University, will act as a discussant for the session. Jamie is the author of The Fight Against Platform Capitalism (University of Westminster Press, 2021), The Gig Economy (Polity, 2019), Marx at the Arcade (Haymarket, 2019), and Working the Phones (Pluto, 2017).
