Burges Salmon Diversity Mentoring Scheme

The Scheme  

The Burges Salmon Diversity Mentoring Scheme is offered in partnership with the University of Bristol Law School. It is for students in years 2-4 of the LLB Law course and years 1 and 2 on the MA Law course, from a Minority Ethnic background.  

If successful in gaining a place on the scheme, you will be connected with mentor at Burges Salmon. Mentees will also be offered a unique two-week work experience placement with the firm. Mentees will be supported by their mentor for the duration of the placement, and will continue to benefit from ongoing mentorship upon completion of the scheme.  

During the placement, mentees will gain invaluable work experience whilst gaining an insight into the firm’s practice areas. Mentees will also partake in workshops to develop confidence in application & interview strategies anbuilding commercial awareness. 

The work experience placement will take place during July or August 2024. The exact date of the placement is TBC. Mentees will be offered a training contract interview upon completion of the work experience placement, and if successful will be offered a training contract at the firm to commence in 2026.
