C44 Biomedical Sciences Building

A seminar hosted by the School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine

The recognition of both sterile and infectious insults through different pattern recognition receptors is central to the induction of appropriate immune responses. In our group, we are interested in understanding one particular family of these receptors, the myeloid C-type lectin receptors (CLRs), with a particular focus on antifungal immunity.

My research is aimed at better understanding of the role of CLRs in homeostasis and immunity, elucidating their cellular expression and function, and the nature of their ligands.
