How do our surroundings affect our health? Uncovering new approaches and insights

24 February 2023, 12.00 PM - 24 February 2023, 5.45 PM

M Shed, Wapping Road, Bristol BS1 4RN

Professor Phil Taylor (PVC Research and Enterprise) and Professor George Davey-Smith would like to invite you to attend the second of our Bristol Inspired event series, delving into how our surroundings affect our health.

Reserve your space through EventBrite.

This event brings together academics, researchers, and key figures from across the University of Bristol to discuss the influence of ubiquitous exposures (chemicals, climate, radiation etc.) on global health, with the aim of establishing multidisciplinary research clusters to better respond to these challenges.

We are excited to welcome a broad range of attendees and will hear from experts in different areas including but not limited to Biochemistry, Earth Science, Clinical Epidemiology and Infectious Disease Modelling.

There will be a series of talks, panel discussion and smaller group discussions throughout the half-day workshop. This is a great opportunity to make connections outside of disciplinary boundaries and drive the conversation on how we uncover new insights and approaches in this area.

Refreshments and lunch are included, and there will be a chance to network with other guests over drinks at the end of the event.
