The University of Bristol and The Alan Turing Institute

The Alan Turing Institute (the Turing) is the national institute for data science and AI. The University of Bristol is a member of the Turing University Network (TUN). This is a network of UK universities who place a shared importance on data science and AI research.

The Turing Liaison team are based in the Jean Golding Institute and enhance the Turing-University of Bristol partnership. They bridge the gap between the Turing's goals and Bristol's research and external partnerships who reflect these goals. They do this by:

  • Developing internal and external communities around data science and AI.
  • Disseminating relevant information, opportunities and events to their networks.
  • Running events to help knowledge sharing, networking and collaboration.
  • Supporting students and staff who want to be more involved with Turing activity.

Why engage with the Turing?

  • Expand your network - connect with other data science and AI academics and research.
  • Increase your knowledge of data science and AI through a range of different activities.
  • Access support for your research.
  • Discover new collaborations.
