Dr Senay Sokullu

Senay Sokullu is a Senior Lecturer in Economics, School of Economics at the University of Bristol.

After obtaining her BA in Economics from Bogazici University in Turkey, Dr Sokullu started her graduate studies in Toulouse, France where she gained an MSc in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics and a PhD in Economics at Toulouse School of Economics. Senay’s research primarily focuses on nonparametric methods in econometrics and their applications in industrial organisations, specifically in economics of platforms.

Talk - E-commerce platforms: What do we learn from the data?

Digitisation has affected our lives drastically. It has affected how we can store, process and transmit data as well as it had led to the emergence of new markets and business models. E-commerce platforms such as Amazon, e-Bay are examples of these new businesses. In this talk, we will look at the data from e-commerce platforms and discuss some of the challenges facing the policy makers.
