Shimadzu TOC-L and TOC-V Organic Carbon Analysers

Carbon analysis is key to our research that spans from glacial systems to tropical peatlands. To accommodate such wide range of samples at the highest analytical performance we have invested in three Shimadzu TOC Analysers, leading company in TOC analysis, customised for specific applications:

1. TOC-L with High Salinity module (100 ppb – 30000 ppm C) is able to analyse TC, IC, NPOC and TN in complex freshwater and saline matrices using a combustion catalytic oxidation/NDIR detection method.
2. TOC-L with High Sensitivity Platinum catalyst (10 ppb – 10 ppm C) is able to analyse TC, IC, NPOC in low carbon freshwater samples.
3. TOC-V with Wet UV Oxidation (2 ppb – 3000 ppm) is able to analyse TC, IC, NPOC in ultra-pure glacial samples.

Agilent Cary Eclipse Fluorescence Spectrophotometer – UV/vis Spectrophotometer

The Agilent Cary Eclipse Fluorescence Spectrophotometer uses electromagnetic spectroscopy to analyse the fluorescence produced from a water sample exposed to a beam of light. Routinely used for detection and distinction of proteinaceous, fulvic and humic dissolved organic matter.
