Design

If you are creating several tutorials, you may want to create a template with a basic structure that you can re-use. This can save time and help to maintain a consistent feel across your tutorials.

We have already looked at present and test and interactive presentations but how does this affect your design? When designing we must look at the application of the tutorial in reference to the education being delivered. Present and test is widely used for delivery of base line knowledge or in standalone self directed modules.

It is common practice to set out an introduction briefly summarising what the subject matter of the tutorial is and how long a time commitment it is to complete. This should be followed by the precise the learning objective the tutorial aims to meet. The structure of the tutorial will depend on what you are using it for but the final two sections should summarise the met learning objectives followed by a bibliography of all publications used within the document.
