Dr Zibah Nwako and Dr Afua Twum-Danso Imoh author collaborative article for The Conversation celebrating International Women's Day

Colleagues collaboratively author 'Four Black women who have advanced human rights' for The Conversation, on International Women's Day 2022

School of Education Senior Research Associate and ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow Dr Zibah Nwako and Senior Lecturer in Global Childhoods and Welfare at the School for Policy Studies, Dr Afua Twum-Danso Imoh have collaboratively written an article for The Conversation about four inspirational Black women who have brought about impactful changes in areas such as environmentalism, activism and economics. 

Published today Tuesday March 8th 2022, on International Women's Day, the article celebrates women such as Professor Wangari Maathai (1940-2011) a Kenyan environmentalist and human rights activist who was the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004.
