TEDxBath Inter-Connected 2021 - with talk from Professor Alf Coles

This year’s theme ‘Inter-Connected’ seeks to explore how our community can thrive through the endless possibilities of local and global inter-connections.

Talk topics will include healthcare in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic; harnessing the learnings from the BLM movement; The treatment of marginalised communities and how this affects one another; and homelessness, hope, and human connection.

School of Education Professor of Mathematics Education Alf Coles will give a talk illustrating how connecting to children’s “powers” is possible and vital to quality Maths education.

In the spirit of connectivity and inclusivity, the event will be digitally streamed to all participants. We are also currently working with the event partners to arrange an exciting watch party with a live Q&A from selected speakers. TEDxBath 2021will be streamed in multiple languages; just like the 2020 COUNTDOWN event, which was streamed in English, Russian, Mandarin, Spanish, French and British Sign.
