Room Setup

For standard teaching - chairs facing the front. The floor is hard wearing. There is a stage at the front of the room, and a gallery that can be accessed on the 2nd floor. This space is not booked out to SU Groups, and staff wishing to book it must complete a form.

Directions

The Great Hall is in the Wills Memorial Building. From the main entrance (Estates Assistant’s Office on the left) take the stairs to the first floor. The Great Hall is ahead.

Opening times

  • Monday to Friday: 8 am to 9.30 pm
  • Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm
  • Sunday: 10 am to 6 pm

Accessibility

This room is wheelchair accessible. The stage is also accessible but only with Esate Assitant help. The gallery is not accessible.

Rooms are used in many ways, both in and out of core hours.  We recognise that it is unrealistic to provide 1-2-1 support throughout the day to the hundreds of rooms in use across campus at any one time, but that it is reasonable to ask that all users make use of facilities in a thoughtful and mutually responsible way to avoid disrupting or over-burdening colleagues.
