Financial support for dentists in the South West who wish to enrol at the University of Bristol

To assist with the delivery of more advanced NHS dental care outside an acute hospital setting, Health Education England has teamed up withthe NHS Local Dental Network to provide financial support for practitioners providing NHS services within the South West.

This is available for dentists who wish to develop their clinical skills by studying on one of our postgraduate programmes in oral surgery, periodontology or conscious sedation.

Applications are assessed on merit and according to predefined criteria by the relevant Managed Clinical Network. The funding for that year is divided between all successful applicants. In previous years, awards of up to £5,000 have been made, covering a significant portion of the academic fees.

Submitted applications are only considered once the provisional offer of a place on the relevant course has been made.
