Compass People

We are pleased to introduce the people that are involved in Compass CDT's activities:

  • Strategic Board
Our Strategic Board comprises of academics external to the University of Bristol and industry representatives. Its purpose is to provide high-level strategic guidance and independent advice and exchange of best practice to ensure the continued success of Compass CDT.
  • Leadership Team
The Leadership Team is responsible for the day to day running of the CDT activities, making sure that all Compass objectives are met and our students receive all the support and benefit from all the opportunities that will ensure their future success.
  • Teaching Team
The Compass teaching team has been chosen to provide training in novel statistical theory and methodology and a strong link between theoretical advances and application areas. All our academic staff are active in research, and we are one of the strongest mathematics schools in Europe in terms of research, as well as one of the top 5 mathematics departments in the UK (REF 2014).
  • Our Students
Compass students, recruited through a highly competitive process have interesting academic backgrounds and are passionate about their research interests and the impact they can make in the world through their work.
  • Alumni
Some of our cohorts have now graduated and have taken academic positions or are pursuing careers in industry. Find out more about them on our Alumni page.
