From 19-23 April, the Engineering Faculty is hosting a Research Showcase. Through a series of panel debates and talks, this virtual event will showcase some of our exciting leading research in Engineering and Computer Science.

 

Interactive devices and the services they support are reliant on the cloud and the digital infrastructure supporting it. The environmental impacts of this infrastructure are substantial.In this talk Dr Dan Schien will give an overview of how these impacts can be understood and mitigated, looking at user-centred design principles, along with technical and business drivers.
